Dribbling
Dribbling is the skill used most often during the game of soccer. When passing is not an option, it allows players a way of moving the ball around the field while maintaining possession. There is not one set way to dribble, which allows for player creativity. That being said, the area of your shoe just above the laces is used by many professionals, as well as the inside and outside of you shoe are also used. Finding what works best for you will require practice and patience. |
Before you start, have the correct form:
•Keep a space between your feet.
•Lean your body slightly forward
•Flex both of your legs.
•Try to keep your hips down
•Keep arms relaxed and not moving

How to Dribble
•Use two cones or markers to set up a practice area.
•Begin at one point and using your dominant foot, dribble towards the other cone, using the top of your shoes.
•When you reach the other end, return using the other foot.
•Continue practicing using the top, inside, and outside of your shoe.
•Try to increase speed as you improve, without decreasing the accuracy of the skill.
•Remember to try and keep your head up and eyes forward.
•Begin at one point and using your dominant foot, dribble towards the other cone, using the top of your shoes.
•When you reach the other end, return using the other foot.
•Continue practicing using the top, inside, and outside of your shoe.
